William H. Bergman graduated from Indiana University in 1969 with a BS in Accounting. He worked in private industry accounting for several years for such companies as GE and Scott Paper Company before deciding to try to tackle taxes. He then went to work for a private CPA for 2 years before coming to work for a small income tax/accounting office called The Tax Man. When the owner decided to retire in 1995, he sold the business to Bill. From January 1996 until today, Bill has been The Tax Man.

Chana M. Davis has worked for The Tax Man since she was a sophomore in high school. She started out as a copy clerk and worked her way up to where she is today. She is definitely not just “the girl that answers the phones”. She hopes that one day, when Bill decides to retire she will be able to fill his shoes and be The Tax Man, err… The Tax WoMan.
